30-Yr-Old Nigerian Teacher Excited As He Flies On Plane For The Very First Time After He Was Given An All-Expense-Paid Scholarship Because Of The Work He Was Doing At His Village School
30 year old Nigerian Teacher named Teacher Chike, with twitter handle @teacherchike1 has shared his experiences after he flew on a plane for the very first time. The young man was recognized by Hospitality Business School, Lagos, Nigeria and was given an all-expense-paid scholarship because of the work he was doing at his village school.
Sharing his story on twitter, he wrote:
I’ve never been to an airport before. I’ve only seen what it looks like in movies. Funny enough, my former school was by the airport road in Abuja, but I never made it to the airport.
The closest I came to seeing a plane was watching it fly over me. Smiles. It’s not because my salary couldn’t afford a one-way ticket then, but it would be unwise to do so.
Fast forward to August 2023, and at the age of 30, I did not only enter an airport; I flew on a plane courtesy of Hospitality Business School, Lagos, Nigeria.
I was given an all-expense-paid scholarship because of the work I was doing at my village school. Indeed, there is always reward for service. The managing director told me that their social media admin saw my work online, recommended me, and kept pressuring
them till I was given the scholarship.
What I couldn’t achieve in Abuja came to me freely in my village school. Indeed, your location does not matter when God says it’s time. This is just a piece of encouragement for those labouring in silence. Keep working hard; God is watching and the world is also watching.
Moral Lesson: Don’t be pressured. Keep adding value to yourself, and someday your time will come.
I know my next flight will be international. God is not unrighteous to forget our work and labour of love.
