Nigerian Couple Who Started Their Career At UCH Ibadan, And Has Been Working At National Health Service UK For 15Years, Celebrate 30 Years As Biomedical Scientists

A Nigerian man named Akinola Idowu Adewunmi, has celebrated 30 years with his wife as Biomedical Scientist. Both couple started their career 1993 at university college hospital (UCH) Ibadan Nigeria where they trained and graduated together and has both gone on to work at National Health service in the UK for 15 years.

Sharing photos on LinkedIn, he briefly narrated his career journey and that of his wife.

“I and my wife Olubukola Adewunmi are excited to celebrate 30 years of service as Biomedical Scientist.

We started our career journey from university college hospital (UCH) Ibadan Nigeria where we both trained and graduated together in 1993.

Why I specialised in Haematology and blood transfusion science, Olubukola specialised in clinical biochemistry.

From our graduation till date we have been passionate, using our career skills above and beyond, saving lives by performing laboratory test to aids clinical diagnose and treatments if hospital patients.

We enjoy what we do and we do what we enjoy, working for NHS for over 15 years is a privileged that highlighted our career journey.

Indeed biomedical science is our calling and purpose.

Reaching this career milestone and reflecting over these 30 years if service to God and humanity is fulfilling”.
