Young Innovative Entrepreneur Oti Chimezirim, and his co- founder built an app named Anastasia, a technology real estate company that helps the general public get free access to verified real estate agents. He speaks to Elorasblog in this interview.
Please tell us a little bit about your background?
I am Oti Chimezirim, one of five children from my parents, the last child, attended Lagos State model college kankon for my high school. Then after I got admission into Micheal okpara university of agriculture Umudike. I was always so excited about computers, its systems and information technologies. I watched one of my older brothers find a niche in IT and it fascinated me even more, then along the way I developed a passion for tech.
What’s was your career dream growing up?
I have always dreamt right from childhood to become an aeronautics engineer.
You and your Co-Founder built an app that connects people to real estate agents, what was the motivation before developing the app?
We are trying to bridge the gap between professional real estate services. we view the concept of tech in real estate as attempting to ease the way people can access realtors and properties.
When I was looking for a property back then, the process was stressful so we decided to build a platform where individual can connect with real estate agents.
Can you share with me the services Anastasia provides?
Anastasia Homes is a subsidary of Anastasia Technology which is into technology solutions for different sectors.
Anastasia Homes provides the following services:
- A listing platform where agents can list property for users to find. Properties ranging from rent, sale and shortlet.
-We provide property management services to real estate investors.

What inspired this business idea?
Answer: Dissatisfaction with the status quo. A lot of people still use the conventional method of search for agents manually. we want to provide a secure platform to make the process easy.
Did you attend any form of training before setting up this business?
No, I didnt. I and my co founders, have about 5 to 6 years of experience in real estate and technology.
Many young youths like you have business ideas but raising capital is the challenge, how were you able to raise capital for your business?
We have been bootstraping. so we raised funds from family and friends. One of the major cost for building a startup is technical development, this can be a big problem when there is no technical cofounder so they have to employ someone to do this.
Anastasia is a technology real estate company that helps the general public get free access to verified real estate agents, how can we trust your services?
Yes, we help the public get free access to properties. we have done our part to do just diligence for our agents. Anastasia’s revenue is subscription based. Our services are free because we charge verified agents to list their properties and get exposure
Can you share with me the setbacks and challenges you’ve encountered in this business?
For any business, the biggest challenge is always marketing. It is a challenge to us because we have to find the most effective strategy to get Anastasia out there. This and scaling up is our biggest challenge.
How do you make profits from these services?
Anastasia’s revenue is subscription based. We charge verified agents to list properties depending on the feature they want, monthly or yearly.
