In July, at the Merit House, Maitama, Abuja, Sanomi in collaboration with the Global Initiative for Peace, Love, and Care donated over N100m to 19 children requiring surgeries both within and outside the country.

A post on the Global Initiative’s Instagram page read, “This afternoon, cheques of N135m were presented to 19 children going for various surgeries within and outside the country. We give God all the glory.”

This was even as many families that had benefited from the philanthropic acts expressed gratitude to the donors.

The Nigeria Police Force’s Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, also acknowledged Sanomi’s philanthropy. He wrote on Facebook, “The President of the Police Officers’ Wives Association, Elizabeth Egbetokun, today, July 15 2023, received and launched a state-of-the-art barracks inspection bus generously donated by the Sanomi Foundation through Igho Sanomi, a committed philanthropist and son of a retired Assistant Inspector-General of Police.”

Sanomi is also behind projects, such as raising over £1m for cancer research in the United Kingdom, facilitating a spinal corrective surgery, and emergency intervention to flood victims in the Niger Delta region of the country, among others.
