A young Nigerian man named Dr. Oluseun Rahul Ajayi has recounted moments of year 2021 when he was evicted by his landlord by 4 hefty men and how he had to sleep in mall for 3 nights where he kept applying for jobs, and he eventually got a job that has changed everything.

He shared his testimony on LinkedIn, and encouraged his friends to keep going, says they are closer.

In 2021, exactly today, I was evicted by my landlord and about 4 hefty men. I had to sleep in Rosebank Mall for 3 nights after scrolling through my phone and not finding anyone who could host me.

Do not imagine the pain of those nights as they should dwell in the past; such horrendous memories. I had not shed tears in years; however, I cried like a woman grappling with labour pains.

How I summoned the strength to open my laptop in the security guard’s room to apply for 4 academic positions in the United Kingdom those dark nights is still a mystery today. Friends, I embraced my pain; I accepted it, but I didn’t let it crush me. You think I just became strong and resilient out of nowhere?

Today, I am grateful to God that I did not give up! I want to encourage you to keep going; you are close! Eventually, I secured a job offer and that changed everything; Imagine I had succumbed to the pain and remained on the ground. Build self-motivational skills; you’ll need them in those moments.
