Why The Nigerian Youths Must Start Thinking Smart And Become More Innovative – By Elora Akpotosevbe
I am very much passionate about Entrepreneurship, and I do a lot of readings about entrepreneurs in Africa and I realize that Ghanaians and Kenyans are doing pretty well, especially the youths.
They are smart, innovative, and creative. There is a young man in Ghana that owns a YouTube channel named Wode Maya and he has featured countless entrepreneurs who were based abroad but relocated back to Ghana and invested in businesses. This young man earns $5,000 every month, and has more than one million followers on his platform.
And then I begin to wonder, how many jobs in Nigeria would pay this much money, truth is apart from oil companies, embassies and few others, you can’t get that much income in your job.
I am yet to see a Nigerian with a platform like this, where Nigerians living abroad come back to invest, and they’re being projected the same way Wode Maya does in his platform.
Nigerian youths are looking for jobs, it’s not a bad thing, but they should wake up and discover their passion, get creative and innovative.
There are so many ways to make money from the comfort of your home, create contents on TikTok, Instagram and get paid. You can make skits videos too. I am yet to see a Nigerian that owns a football blog, for strictly contents on footballers.
The amazing part is that you will be paid in dollars. There are no enough jobs, is time to start creating one.
When I see youths posting contents on their Facebook timeline just to get comments and likes yet it’s not monetized, I feel like is a time wasted.
That job you are looking for, will not give you fulfillment, neither will it pay all the bills. Start now before it’s too late, and remember, there is no retirement.
