She Has Empowered Over 700 Candidates Through Tech – The Story Of Adeshola Cole

Adeshola Cole-Alegbe’s story of overcoming adversity is not only inspiring, but it also sheds light on important issues such as racism, foster care, and the power of resilience. Her journey from being the only black girl in her UK community to becoming a successful CEO and philanthropist is a testament to the human spirit’s strength and determination.

Adeshola was born in Hackney in 1981, and her life was far from easy. Growing up in Birmingham, she was the only black person in her school, and she suffered racial abuse due to her skin colour and appearance. Her childhood was also complicated by being fostered from the age of two to eleven. Her relationship with her foster parents hindered her relationship with her biological parents, and she also had a difficult relationship with her mother during her teenage years.

When things became too complex with her foster parents, Adeshola’s parents decided to take her to Nigeria for cultural orientation. She attended the International School, Lagos, and Lagos State University, where she graduated with a Second Class Division in literature in English. Upon returning to the UK, she did odd jobs such as cleaning and working in a bakery before securing a job at a bank, which opened up opportunities for her to work in a professional environment.

Adeshola’s passion for IT and mentorship developed in her later years, which led to the birth of Tritek Consulting Ltd, a London-based multi-award-winning IT company committed to assisting candidates in the African community secure roles within the IT sector. To date, Adeshola has helped over 700 candidates transition into IT roles and has been awarded multiple awards, including Mentor of the Year 2016, IT Company of the Year 2020, and Youth Empowerment Award 2021.

In 2018, Adeshola was awarded Woman of the Year in Black Business, which helped boost her profile and her business. She was also nominated for IT Training Company of the Year 2020 by Southern Enterprise Award and received recognition for youth empowerment in 2020 by BLine. In 2022, Adeshola received an award for philanthropy from the Rotary Club and was named Emerging CEO of the Year 2022 at the Annual Business Summit Global Honours London.

Adeshola’s success story is not only a testament to her determination and resilience but also to the power of mentorship and community support. She credits her tough upbringing with teaching her the true meaning of resilience and how to speak up for herself. Through her work at Tritek Consulting, she aims to provide the same support and mentorship that helped her succeed to others in the African community.

As a successful CEO and entrepreneur, Adeshola is also using her platform to advocate for important issues such as education and the security situation in Nigeria. She believes that there are many opportunities in Nigeria, but the insecurity issue in the country is discouraging. She also believes that the education system in Nigeria needs to be adapted to IT and digital transformation, with more tech courses in universities.

Adeshola’s story is a reminder that success is not always easy, but with resilience, determination, and community support, anything is possible. Her work at Tritek Consulting and her advocacy for important issues such as education and security in Nigeria are making a positive impact, and she continues to inspire others to pursue their dreams despite the obstacles they may face.
