The common lie they sell to people is that going abroad automatically makes your life easier. Well, I beg to disagree. Please, you canโt be a cat in Nigeria and then suddenly travel abroad to become a lion.
Well, there are a lot of factors that might make your life easier, and I would be talking about some in this post. It may be true depending on how you japa that your life might be easier.
Japa is not as important as how you japa, and we need to be very clear on this concept. People have japa only to have even more miserable lives.
People generally have this mindset that once they japa, they would start hustling and eventually make it. Please donโt overestimate yourself. In fact, if you want to hustle and make it, the best place to do it is in Nigeria, not in a foreign land. But donโt take my words for it, japa first, and you will understand better.
But to those people who donโt want a very difficult life, can we talk? This post is particularly for young people, really, young people who have so many years ahead of them.
Listen carefully, japa with an understanding, japa with a fully funded scholarship, or japa on a work basis. I know that it is difficult to get, I know it is โlimitedโ, but with a fully funded scholarship or as a working professional, your life will be easier, much easier than if you were to fund yourself. You MIGHT never break free from the circle of hand to mouth. Poverty is likely to end you.
In fact, if you japa with a fully funded scholarship to get an education, you will be able to rise faster than just japa to hustle. Hustlers with no education might never break free from the chains of poverty.
Donโt be fooled with the clean pictures of people you see abroad. Honestly, some of you live better lives than them. But donโt take my words for it, japa without any scholarship first or without a sustaining job and come back to this post if it makes sense to you.
Even people with fully funded scholarships still have to do more to thrive in a strange land. You have to compete with resources with local indigenes. But with a fully funded scholarship, you will have flexibility and time to pursue your dreams and even achieve them faster.
Young people must understand this truth! You can win a fully funded scholarship, you can secure well-paying jobs abroad, ask the right questions, be informed, be desperate, write all these standardized exams you should write, plan for it.
Japa is cool when someone is footing the bills, but that person shouldnโt be you. You must be possessed with the idea that this universe is mighty with abundance, there is too much to go around.
But you must position yourself for this.
