Jamie Foxx Hospitalised After ‘Medical Complication’

Jamie Foxx, the American actor and musician, has been hospitalised following a “medical complication”.

According to TMZ, the 55-year-old actor was shooting a film in Atlanta when he took ill and was rushed to a nearby hospital on Tuesday morning.

While the nature of his illness has not been disclosed, Corinne Foxx, the actor’s daughter, took to Instagram on Thursday to assure fans that her father is on the road to recovery.

She also thanked everyone for their prayers and “requested privacy during this time.”

“We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday,” she wrote.

“Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”

Foxx’s career spans several decades and includes a variety of roles in film and television.

He first gained widespread recognition for his role in the 1999 film ‘Any Given Sunday’. He has since been featured in several movies and series.

In addition to acting, Foxx is an accomplished musician. He released his debut album, ‘Peep This’ in 1994, and has collaborated with numerous other artistes, including Kanye West, Drake, and Justin Timberlake.

He has also received several awards and recognitions.
