Nigerian Man Who Desired To Work At Volvo After Watching His Dad Buying The Car In Year 2003 Fulfills Dream, Celebrates 3 Months At The Job

A young Nigerian man named Mbuodile Obiosio, who was recently hired at Volvo is marking 3 months at the job as
an Android Developer.

The young man went down memory lane remembering the times he has always desired to work at Volvo after watching his dad buy the car in year 2003.

Such a thrill looking back and acknowledging that today makes it 3 months since I joined the world’s safest automobile manufacturer Volvo Group as an Android Developer.

How time flies. This new experience with Volvo aligns with my passion, drive and inspirations and I dare to say, the very part of me I hadn’t probably discovered yet.

Working at Volvo has been my dream since 2003 (thank you Dad for buying that Volvo 240GL) and what seemed extremely impossible for a highschool boy so fascinated by Technology, Computers and Cars becomes his daily living.

Dragged my brother, my cousin and big friend into owning a Volvo car too along the way. A proper fan boy I’m proud to say.

My 2022 story is definitely something I want to share differently. On a different day. From a mentally and emotionally draining job, to questioning myself, to fighting depression, to countless interviews.

Terrible unreliable Internet/electricity in Nigeria denied me what I thought at the time was the end of the road for me. I got married to the most beautiful soul any man would pray and wish for. Then moved to Europe to work in a company I have followed for years and a country I dreamt of as one of the first places to visit.

That was going to be Portugal or Sweden. If you dream it, it can happen if you don’t kill it yourself.

I won’t be able to capture all my thoughts and thanks in this post but yes, I feel 90% more than I can express in words. I’m grateful to God for His blessings, wisdom and knowledge.

The last three months have been productive and fulfilling working with a team of great minds, a comfortable work environment with top priority to a work-life balance and achieving great results. I am super excited for the future.
