Lady Who Gave Up On Having A Life Partner After Being Molested By Her Uncle For Years From Age 13, Finds Love, Gets Married

“I was molested for 13 years by my uncle. Somewhere while recovering from the trauma, I gave up on the idea of finding a life partner. But then Jarrod happened & my life changed.

We met online; our 1st conversation saw me ranting about a rough day & him listening patiently. He then told me about his plans to visit India, & 3 months later, he was here!

I showed him around, but a week later I was leaving for Thailand. I asked him to tag along, & he agreed.

We traveled across the country & grew closer. When I fell sick, looked after me & fed me.

I opened up to him about my past, he said, ‘I’m here for you.’
I realised I loved him when we were departing at the airport. He said, ‘I don’t know when we will meet next, but I love you!’ I hugged & said, ‘I love you too!’

We did long-distance for a year, & then met in Japan! With him, I’d forget my worries.

On my return, I told my parents about Jarrod & made them FaceTime; they got along well.

A month later, when Jarrod & his family came down to Mumbai, we got engaged!
Not long after, I went to the US, & a year later, we got married by the beach.

My family couldn’t make it, but his family didn’t let me miss them. Jarrod & I held hands as we read our vows to each other; I’ll never forget that day, it was beautiful!

After our wedding, Jarrod was patient with me. We didn’t share a bed for months; my past haunted me. But Jarrod understood.

His love drew me out of my shell & helped me find myself.
But 5 months in, Jarrod fell ill. He got diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I’d see him struggle daily. I briefly quit my job to look after him.

But one day, he broke down, ‘You don’t deserve to live like this,’ & I told him, ‘I’m in it for life!’ We both cried.

It’s been 2 years since; Jarrod & I are stronger than ever. I love how we’re both a unit & our own persons at the same time.

On my last birthday, he gifted me a solo trip to Turkey!
He is still unwell though- recently he fell so sick, he kept puking as I wiped his face!

Together, we’ve been through lots of ups & downs, there have been many ugly moments, but that’s what marriage is right? Picking each other up when we fall down!”.
