Who Gave Him Advice To Get His Dream Job

A young man named Malik Sinegal has gone down memory lane as he celebrates his mentor who gave him sliver of advice to get his dream job. Says he never believed he would ve been where he’s today.

They say a mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope and dreams within yourself…

Well, Mrs. Stephanie Grant is definitely that person for me. Mrs. Grant was the First Officer on the First All Female African American Flight Crew in the United States in 2009.

I reached out to her many years ago just hoping that she’d give me just sliver of advice to get to my dream job… She gave me one thing better, a mentor and a friend.

These two pictures were taken 5 years and 1 day apart from one another. At the time, I was a Junior in college without a flight training slot and hoping to get back inside an airplane to finish my ratings. If you would’ve told me that I’d be where I am today, AND recreating a photo in our dream job uniforms, I would’ve laughed at you.

I definitely wouldn’t be where I am today without her advice and her example of professionalism.
