From SHAGARI ESTATE IPAJA LAGOS TO AMERICA!!
YES I got a fully funded Phd in Chemical engineering at the University of Arkansas.
It was a rigorous process applying to graduate schools in USA, writing the GRE & IELTS exams coupled with the fact I had a 9-5 demanding job but I gave it my all.
I remember the UK movement was flying all around me in Nigeria- colleagues, friends where moving to UK it seemed easier but the AMERICAN DREAM persisted so I pressed on and finally the hardwork, sleepless nights, countless cold mails, sop, lor, essays paid off and I got a fully funded PhD in Chemical Engineering at U of A which I commenced this August for fall 2022 session.
Yes, I must say consistency pays off!!👌… I am glad I followed through with my dreams.
I got accepted into 7 wonderful institution in US the likes of The George Washington University, Texas A&M University Kingsville, Cornell University , Kent State University , Bowling Green State University , Arizona State University & the prestigious University of Arkansas.
I applied to over 10 schools in the US, it looked impossible, tiring, I clapped for others while I waited & finally a Landslide victory 🥂
