“America Is A Land Of Immigrants And Where Dreams Becomes Reality” – Says Liberian Man Who Became An American Soldier

“If you would have told me a village child from a war-torn country would become an American Soldier and HHC commander, I would have not believed it.

This is a testament that America is a land of immigrants and where dreams become reality.”

Originally from Liberia, Capt. Bill Zarwolo did not always have a safe home where he could focus on growing.

He moved to the U.S. at 17 years old and joined the US Army via ROTC at Appalachian State University.

A little over two years ago, Zarwolo took command of IMCOM Headquarters and Headquarters Company, and today he works in the IMCOM G3 supporting plans and operations.
