God is in our story!
I remember seeing a picture of my dad standing so proud by my mother during her convocation at Crutech. Many doubted my mother would graduate as an accountant as it was seen as a man’s line of study then.
My mother was keen on backing out until my father came along. He made trouble in the whole school and pushed my mother with all the love and encouragement till she graduated.
No one could mess with my mother because she had a man who would bring the world to his knees to ensure my mother was at her best. He was Her Peace.
My Wife is my Peace! She pushed and Pushed till I came this far. In truth we both pushed ourselves. Today, we both graduated from Bournemouth University.
My Wife who had already gotten her first masters in Bradford in Finance, Dared all odds and took a second in innovation and Entrepreneuship. She is determined to create an avenue of wealth for her women folk.
She believes a woman is more and can be more.
I also pursued a Masters in Public Health before Joining the Bournemouth Business School for a second Masters. If I ever felt like giving up, my wife’s determination to succeed was the fire in my bones.
Today, I was in tears that my parents weren’t here to throw the accolades but when I saw my wife’s smile, I was strengthened and I walked down with pride to receive my Certificate.
This is a great feat for us. It isn’t a joke to have two people take on a Masters degree at once in the Uk but God came through. These Degrees are dedicated specially to my mother who was called barren for 15 years. It is also dedicated to my father who taught us how much to love our mother. Lastly, it is dedicated to my wife who has been not just a wife but a mother to me too, not just Kimberly and Jason.
