I arrived the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 with some amount of money (FINITE RESOURCES )and hoped that it would sustain me for quite some time. However I didn’t realize on time that getting into the United Kingdom was going to come with some different kinds of wants and needs(INFINITE WANTS).
First need was to get a part time job that would help me maintain a balance financially. Now i had to let go and sacrifice some bit of comfort to be able to register for some important training and certification classes(PRINCIPLE OF OPPORTUNITY COSTS ). This was to aid me get a job quickly.
At some point, i was really going to forget about the training and just live a comfortable life while waiting for a miracle of getting a job on a platter to happen. I thought about it over and over again and realized that spending that money on training myself and getting certified is going to fetch me more money in future (INVESTMENT) while spending on my needs and wants would just be a recurring issue I have to deal with, this has no financial benefits mind you (JUST EXPENSES ).
I made that decision to get trained and certified at the expense of my comfort. Getting a job was a top priority you know 🤔 ( SCALE OF PREFERENCE). Today I am happier and better than i was before.
I learn from practical and real life issues.
An investment is anything that would fetch you more money in future. It is not just an expense.
Let’s endeavor to ensure that we critically analyze the pattern of our financial activities often to be able to stay afloat.
Invest first before spending.
Spend what’s left after your investment.
