Absolutely delighted to share my 15 years journey in the Maritime industry with my LinkedIn fam!

2006: Diploma in Presea Training from The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd

2009: Bachelor in Nautical Sciences from INDIAN MARITIME UNIVERSITY

2017: Master Mariner from Ministry of Road Transport & Highways – India 🇮🇳

2019: Master in Business Administration from Vancouver Island University

2020: MSc in International Management from the University of Hertfordshire

2022: Master Mariner from Transport Canada – Transports Canada 🇨🇦

Probably one of the best gifts is to accomplish your long cherished dream, better when you plan it after moving to a new country hoping for better career opportunities.

Leaving everyone back in your home country and moving as an immigrant is hard. Getting used to the new culture, paying high tuition fees, not getting appropriate jobs because you lack local work experience/knowledge, and even getting exploited by employers with minimum pay or no pay at all are some of the challenges Immigrants face.

Fortunately, things went well for me and I would like to thank Montship Inc. for the opportunity and experiences I gained over my tenure in the company, especially learning the commercial aspect of maritime operations on the west coast of Canada.

After getting my Master Mariner license again from Transport Canada – Transports Canada I am looking forward to what the future holds with a feeling of great enthusiasm and eagerness.

On that note my message to everyone planning to move abroad or immigrants still struggling to settle in a new country, hardships will be there and it won’t be easy, but stick on there and don’t give up – you will get there eventually if you have proper planning and the right intentions. Good luck!
