Lady Who Just Became An Australian Citizen, Says Success Needs Hard Work And A Bit Of Luck

A young lady named Chi G Nguyen has excitedly announced that she just became an Australian Citizen, she went further to share how she almost gave up on the tedious process, while adding that
success needs hard work and a bit of luck.

Read her testimony as shared on LinkedIn:

I came to Australia more than 6 years ago without any family or friends and barely spoke the language. Today, I am officially an Australian citizen.

Coming from a developing country, I know getting an Australian citizenship is a dream of many people but the journey can be painful. Throughout the process, I have seen many people give up because of the enormous amount of effort you have to put in without any guarantee of success.

There were also numerous times I wanted to give up because of the endless requirements, courses and certificates I had to achieve to accumulate points. Even after achieving the highest points possible, I still didn’t receive an invitation to apply for Permanent Residency for many many months.

Feb 2020- It was my last month in Australia under the Temporary visa. I bought a flight ticket and were ready to go back to Vietnam but a miracle finally happened and my hard work paid off. I got invited to apply for PR as an Auditor on that very last month, right before Covid hit and border closure.

Since I started the process there were almost 48 months, equal to 48 chances for Australian government to invite me. No one would have thought that I could receive an invitation on my last month in Australia. But I guess luck finally smiled at me.

I believe every success needs hard work and a bit of luck. If it was just hard work, everyone would be successful. However, if you don’t work hard enough, that luck might never come. Should I have not stuck it out until the end, I would not be standing here today to receive my Australian citizenship. Don’t ever give up on your dream because you never know what is waiting for you at the end of the journey 🙂

Congratulations to her.
