“Our educational toys are a means to expose children to the wonders of aviation and to inform them of STEM careers through daily play routines.
All our products are locally manufactured and 20% of each sale goes towards a fund for future pilot bursaries,” said Kandawire-Khoza.
“My aviation journey began when I was 5 years old. It was my first commercial flight ever and the one that ignited the flame for me. At that time, I didn’t know any pilots or anyone in the aviation industry, but, from that moment on, I knew that I wanted to be a pilot when I grew up,” she added.
Amanda Kandawire-Khoza was raised in Soweto, South Africa and started flying solo on her 18th birthday. She previously served as First Officer at SA Express and South African Airways before joining Emirates as Senior First Officer in 2019.
