I want to travel abroad (japa) but nature has refused 😭

I started my travelling journey immediately after my secondary school 2003. I was called by my school mates after my WAEC then, that Washington University in St Louis (#WUSTL), United states sent a letter of scholarship to the school, Wilcox Memorial Secondary School Aba Abia state, for the best five students to apply for scholarship.
Unfortunately, the information came after the deadline of the scholarship. But then I applied but I didn’t get any response.

In 2005, I got an admission at Holborn College London. The tuition deposit as at then was about 2million naira. I couldn’t afford it because my monthly salary as a high school leaver was just 8000naira. So I simply advised myself to save little money and then get admission into a Polytechnic , while I work and study.

Fast forward to 2021. I had already earned my Higher National Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma and #MBA. So I started another travel journey.

In June 2021, I got admissions from about three universities in Florida, United States, for my second Masters. I was opportune to visit the United States embassy for the first time in my life. I felt I will be making history in my family as I walk into the embassy that day for the visa interview. I prayed, i spent time and money gathering all required documentation. Unfortunately, my visa was denied. I couldn’t shed tears 😭😭, maybe because I had shed more than enough tears in my life.

I moved on to applying for another admission in North Carolina, United States. I was also favoured to get admission with partial scholarship for my #PhD. I was also favoured to get another visa interview appointment within the same year 2021. I was very happy that this will be the deal breaker for me.
Unfortunately my visa was also denied November 2021. It was a painful day for me. But I was not discouraged, I still believe that a brighter day is still coming for me.

In April 2022, I got another admission in Toronto Ontario Canada. I also prayed and gathered my documents for visa application. Everything looked promising and positive. But still I got a rejection.

In all these, I am still grateful to God for life. I am grateful to God that I have not giving up on my self and dream. Dreams do come through. Although people’s timeline differs, but surely it will come to pass.

I have learnt alot in each of the process and I am still open to learning more. we will not give up untill we achieve our goals.

linkedin family, Do not allow life or nature to dictate anything for you. You may have gone through many rejections , different from my story, never give up , keep pushing further. Someday it will surely be a testimony.
