Mark Zuckerberg Developed A ‘Sleep Box’ To Help His Wife Sleep At Night
The inventor of Facebook is moving his abilities from the cyber world to the home realm. Recently, Mark Zuckerberg disclosed that he developed a “Sleep Box” to aid his pediatrician wife, Priscilla Chan, in getting a good night’s sleep.
The billionaire posted a photo of the innovation on Instagram and commented, “Being a parent is hard, and since we’ve had kids Priscilla has had a hard time sleeping through the night. She’ll check the clock on her phone when she wakes up to see whether the kids would be up soon, but once she knows the time, it worries her out and she can’t go back to sleep.
The 34-year-old said that his wife’s stress motivated him to build a little wooden box that generates a weak light between 6 and 7 a.m. He and Chan are the parents of two girls, Maxima (“Max”), 3, and August, 18 months. According to Zuckerberg, the light is “visible enough so that, if she sees it, she’ll know it’s a good moment for one of us to get the kids, but faint enough so that the light won’t wake her up if she’s still asleep.” Since it doesn’t display the time, she can just go back to sleep if she wakes up in the middle of the night without worrying about the time.
His creation has been successfully using. She can now sleep through the night, which has so far gone better than I had anticipated, he wrote. One of the nicest ways I can think of to show my love and thanks to my partner as an engineer is by creating a device that will improve their quality of sleep.
And it appears that other people are also drawn to the handmade item in addition to the tech entrepreneur. Since he made it, Zuckerberg has had requests from several pals who want one too. In order to “go with this and build sleep boxes for more people,” he is supporting “another entrepreneur.”
