Belinda Disu Foundation: A Nonprofit Organization Dedicated To Providing Education, Healthcare & Employment Skills For Underprivileged Kids In Africa, Meet Belinda Ajoke Olubunmi Adenuga

Meet Mrs. Belinda Ajoke Olubunmi Adenuga, also known as Bella Disu, is a Nigerian businesswoman. She is President and Founder of Belinda Disu Foundation, a nonprofit Organization dedicated to providing education, healthcare and employment skills for underprivileged kids in Africa.

Bella Disu was born on May 29, 1986. She was born to parents Emelia Adefolake Marquis and Mike Adenuga.

Bella’s mother, Emelia Adefolake Marquis, is a Nigerian entrepreneur and her father, Mike Adenuga, is the chairman of Globacom.

Belinda switched between four institutions to complete her education. She went to Corona School in Victoria Island to complete her high school studies. She went for her secondary education at Queen’s College in 1998.

However, she left Queen’s College and completed graduation at Vivian Fowler Memorial College in 2000. She went to the University of Massachusetts to achieve a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations in Boston, United States. She also achieved an MSc in Leadership from the Northeastern University in Boston, United States.

Bella Disu began her career in 2004 when she joined the global telecommunications company, Globacom Ltd, functioning in Nigeria, Benin Republic, and Ghana. She rose to become the Chief Operating Officer of the Telecom Giant and now Executive Vice President of the Company.

After a brief seven years, in 2011, she took the position of the Group Executive Director of Cobblestone Properties and Estates Limited. After a few years, in 2015, she became the CEO of the Cobblestone Properties and Estates Limited. In October 2019, a 10-story Luxury Apartment named Sisi Paris located in Bourdillon, Ikoyi, Lagos State was launched by her.

She’s a Leading Shareholder with First Bank, Sterling and GTBank. She also sits on the Board of Conoil PLC, and Cappa & D’Aberto PLC. She is owns the single largest individual Shareholding with Julius Berger PLC.

She’s married to the wealthy Lagos born venture Capitalist; Mr Jameel Disu. They got married in April 2010 at the then Adenuga’s Oko Awo Residence, Victoria Island. For that Ceremony, Beyonce was flown into the Country with one of the family’s luxury jets to entertain the Couple and their Guests.

In 2019, she was a keynote speaker at Africa CEO Forum, speaking for the Women in Business Initiative. She was present at the 2019 Choose France International Business Summit that took place in Chateau De Versailles, France, where she was among 149 other global business leaders like Aliko Jim Ovia, Dangote, and Tony Elumelu.
