For months I have been thinking of a way to start this caption, but, I am still speechless. I have always wanted to make my parents proud, from my time at Chisipite Senior School to the University of Zimbabwe I have always thought of making my parents proud.

This is because I have seen, known and understood love from them. Love that is patient and kind. This past weekend I cried when I said my goodbyes and see you soon. It was a mixture of tears of joy and sadness. Joy because I am going to the University of Cambridge ! A world-class university. I mean wow! Who goes to Cambridge? Sad because I was leaving them💕

I have always been the baby of the house so it definitely wasn’t easy.

I am grateful to God for how faithful he has been to me. I never knew a dream could become a reality! In a few weeks I begin my MPhil in Basic and Translational Neuroscience at the University of Cambridge, with my college being Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge . Additionally, I was awarded the Postgraduate Beit-Cambridge Scholarship!

I am super excited for this new chapter in my life. What started as a mental health blog has lit a fire in me to go above and beyond, seeking to understand the underlying mechanisms of mental health issues.

Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you.”
God has been good to me🙏🏾 Don’t lose faith and hope because he who created us will surely guide us!

Mommy and Daddy this is for you ❤️

Congratulations to her.
