Read his post below as shared on LinkedIn:

I reached the 6 years milestone at Google on 8/22/22. Precisely 16 years, 7 months and 20 days since first arriving in the US as an (Liberian) Immigrant Refugee from Ghana, where I spent 13 years in a Refugee Camp.

The above timelines are significant because I always look back to gauge progress and give reverence for the journey to this point. I’ve loved every bit of my experience at Google, most importantly at YouTube. I’ve been fortunate to lead Global Initiatives and Communities, while developing personally and professionally – from Technical Recruiting to Product Operations & Strategy.

Time – this marvelous continuum we all share can be experienced very differently when you’re doing amazing things with amazing people. I keep track of time to remain humble and grounded as I pursue these once insurmountable dreams.

While working at Google has been the highlight of my short career, a far more exhilarating experience has been the opportunity to move my mother out of Section 8 Housing into a Home, bringing to reality, a piece of the American Dream.

By far the greatest accomplishment of my life – providing peace and safety for my family. This was made possible because of the opportunities afforded to me here at Google!

I’m immensely thankful for the sponsorship, mentorship, and community this company has provided. As I look to the future, I’m most optimistic about life and the possibilities ahead, within the walls of Google and beyond. A special shoutout to Rochelle Boone Briscoe & Megan Dhilla who have been instrumental in my growth and development throughout these years.
