My journey from a small village in Ghana to Harvard! Read the summary of my story in the images below and be inspired.

My sincerest appreciation goes to God almighty for this great opportunity to be in Harvard.

My appreciation also goes to my late dad, Mr. Ernest Obeng, my beautiful mum, madam Rita Bio and her husband, Mr. Patrick Adjei, and my step mum, madam Cecilia Amoah for working hard to give me the best education even out of their financial difficulties.

I would like to also appreciate my entire family for their great support. My gratitude also goes to my supervisor Dr. Yaw Aniweh, Ph.D., Prof Gordon Awandare , and Prof Regina Appiah-Opong for recommending me. Thanks to Dr. Anastasia Aikins, Prof David Fidock, Dr. Selasi Dankwa, PhD, Harim Won, Madalyn Won, Cyrianne Keutcha, Opeoluwa Adewale Fasoro 🇺🇦🇺🇦🙏🏿, Kumba Seddu, Dr. Kwaku Baryeh (PhD), Pablo Cárdenas, Mr. George Asa, Dr. Samuel Twumasi Ankrah, Preacher Benjamin Tedzi, Preacher Frank Obeng Essien, the Koranteng Family, Mr. Kingsley Danquah, Mr. Stephen Owusu, my best friend Mohammed Atampuri, and anybody who made this dream of mine a success.

Finally, I would like to specially thank my beautiful, hardworking, God-fearing, supportive, prayerful and lovely Fiancée, miss Ekua Arthur-Djan for all the marvelous support. This lady told me to stop applying to other schools and focus on only Harvard because God has destined me to be there.

Even before my interview invitation, she started calling me “Harvard Abrante3” and just look at what God has done. She gave me her laptop to study during my final year and used it for my applications as well. She was with me throughout my interviews, Visa interview, went with me to DHL for the approved Visa, went with me to the market to get all my things, prayed and fasted with me, and kept on encouraging me that I was going to get in. Ekua, God bless you so much for me okay. I appreciate you a lot. Cheers to a brighter future together.

Now to everyone out there who thinks your dreams are not achievable, be motivated by the summary of my story. If God has been faithful to me like this, then with Him on your side, you shall also achieve your dreams. If you don’t know God, I use this medium to recommend Him to you my dear. Just taste and see that the Almighty God is so good!!!!!!

I am looking for a fully funded master’s program in either Economics, Financial Economics, International Development, MBA programs in the USA for my Fiancée who will graduate from the University this year with a BA in Economics and Geography. Kindly let me know if you have any opportunities like that. God bless you all.

Now, the pupil teacher’s son is on his way to achieving his dream of becoming a professor, a transformational leader and a philanthropist, all thanks belongs to the Almighty God!!!!
