My journey start as being a second class lower graduate with high passion for research and science, however the struggle to attain the height is not easy with the quest of the competition.
I persist by applying to graduate school since 2019, failed several times, relearn and keep improving myself in every aspect needed such as laboratory techniques, research writing, leadership experience, volunteering, work experience, certifications, GRE, Duolingo, TOEFL, conferences and many more. Yet, with the improvement in my applications, I have countless rejections from 2019-2022.The story change with BIG YES in 2022 with two fully funded PhD scholarship.
I am pleased to start my PhD program at the Department of Chemistry in Mississippi State University – The Graduate School with a specific focus at the interface of science and medicine which combines structural biology, biophysics and electrophysiology to understand how the intra cellular calcium sensing protein “Calmodulin” senses changes in calcium concentration and modifies protein-protein interactions to treat heart diseases.
