Read his post below, as shared on LinkedIn:

I was a graduate student at the University of Cambridge when this archive building that has my name engraved on it was completed. I had the honour to be invited to attend its official opening this past Sunday as an alumnus and I feel very proud that my contributions to my college were recognized in this heart-felt manner. Growing up as a kid in Nigeria, the stories that were told to us about Cambridge and Oxford were laden with reverence and awe.

Inspired by these stories and reading about the great minds that passed through these historic ivory towers, I soon became a Joseph; I started dreaming. I wanted to someday attend one of these two. Today, I have not only fulfilled that dream, I also have my name and that of my forbears, by virtue of this honour, stamped on a Cambridge building, for life. I do not take it for granted. If you’re that young African that’s dreaming right now, know that your dreams are valid, and you should pursue them with every ounce of your being. My dream came true. Yours too can!
