This young Ivorian entrepreneur is helping achieve food self-sufficiency through his rice company.
Gninlnagnon Koné is the founder of Katio-Akpa, a company responsible for marketing Ivorian first origin rice called “delight rice” on the Ivorian market.
The rice market is still dominated by large multinationals, But this young entrepreneur’s long-term goal is to dominate the rice sector throughout the country.
Koné is committed to creating 20,000 jobs for young Ivorians in rice production on at least 50,000 hectares over the next 5 years.
In 2016, Koné Gninlnagnon was one of the 35 young innovators who were shaking up the French-speaking world. He was also selected for the final of the Prix Jeunesse de la Francophonie.
