”Lord, Make Me Better At Being A Dad”- Pastor Paul Adefarasin Celebrates Father’s Day, Says Fatherhood Is A Blessing

Pastor Paul Adefarasin has shared an emotional message on his Instagram, today being Father’s day, he shared photos of his sons and wrote:

I find father’s day very humbling while challenging too.

Why so?

It’s another opportunity for reflection as it regards rising to one of the most important roles for most men and single mothers to rise to. I refer to the rewarding responsibility of being ‘dad’.

As a father to both my natural and spiritual adults my cry is always, ”Lord, make me better at being dad” as well as ”help me to be like what You are to me to them: the consistent provider, a conduit for all the love they need; the faithful and firm guide when they need a compass to navigate through tough times and a real time illustration of Christ to each one of them, especially when we all need to be better and to enjoy and excel at all that we are and do.”

My dad remains my hero and even after this many years since his passing, I still see myself as a reflection of him.

So indeed, fatherhood is a blessing and God’s very own unique gift to all men and I celebrate and applaud every man and woman who is blessed with the unique privilege of being a father, whether to a few or to many.

You are our heroes and your sacrifice will always be worth it all. For you, I pray for wisdom, the grace, the strength and the wherewithal to keep rising to the important role of fatherhood, with care.

Let us keep inspiring our families, our communities and our world by being authentic models even when we are injured by life.

Happy Fathers Day!!
Especially to you, T.D. Jakes Ministries.

There’s only one you.
