Read his post below;
Years ago, life was pretty rough, I slept on my friends couch to survive. Things were a bit rocky.
I was born in Mushin, Lagos, Nigeria. Google it. It isn’t pretty
I am excited to announce my new position as the Head of Housing at the Toronto Youth Cabinet 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Homelessness is something I have personally been affected by, so to be in a position where I can help reduce the rate of youth homelessness in Toronto is a dream come true for me!
I’m incredibly grateful to God for blessing me with this opportunity and to Stephen M. for believing in me and appointing me into the position.
I am everything I am today due to the grace of God
Without Jesus I am nothing
I want to encourage someone today
You may be going through a tough time or season
Don’t give up
God will get you through this season
You will come out on top and become a blessing to others.
If someone had told me while I slept on my friends couch, Fikayo, you will someday become the head of housing of the official youth advisory board of the city of Toronto. I might have laughed tbh.
It’s all by the grace of God
I am excited for this journey
The best is yet to come!
