Mpumi Skosana is a 43 year old mother of 4.

She has been in the airline industry for 23 years as a Customer Experience Specialist and has been exposed to the various international markets that she flew.

In 2020 she was retrenched due to the volatility created by the covid19 pandemic in the airline industry.

She then ventured out into entrepreneurship and started an agricultural business supplying local vendors and local shops with spinach and selling broiler chickens direct to the public.

Due to her love of the aviation industry and the understanding of the importance of technology as the 4IR, she enrolled for a drone pilot course and as of February 2022 she has been certified as a Remote Pilot License holder by South African Civil Aviation Authority.

She has also started a E-commerce business which is currently at its implementation stage.

The focus is in the Africa market supplying them with pharmaceutical products with the hope of integrating it and partnering with local drone companies in the Africa market she is operating in and looking to expand and do drone delivery as a service offering in the future.

She has also followed her passion of helping people who are in need of emotional support and counselling and offer them this service.

The loss of a stable income and employment security has made her appreciate each day and treat each adversity as an opportunity to have my dreams come true.
