Meet The Co- Founders Of Bamboo, The First Online Brokerage Service

Bamboo was founded by Yanmo Omorogbe who is the (COO) and Co-founded by Richmond Bassey who serve as (CEO).

Bamboo is the first online brokerage service that gives wealthy Africans and their wealth managers direct access to the US and global securities.

In Nigeria, Africa’s largest economy and home to 30% of all the wealth in Sub Saharan Africa (excluding South Africa), 99.99% of the investing population do not have access to invest globally.

Even for the 0.01%, if you wanted to buy a US stock, you’d have to call your asset manager who would then call an international broker to execute a trade. This is inefficient & expensive!

Bamboo was launched in November 2019. Following two years of significant growth and raising $2.4 million to facilitate it, the investment firm is announcing that it has raised $15 million in a new financing round.

Bamboo Investment app gives Nigerians unrestricted access to invest in over 3000 stocks listed on the U.S. and Nigerian stock exchange.

Bamboo’s app gives users access to buy and sell stocks of about 3,000 companies. Bamboo typically doesn’t offer stocks whose companies have a market cap of under $1billion, unless such stocks have high demand.

Users can sign up to trade on Bamboo with $10 dollars. Users must be at least 18 years old and will need to provide some information, including a bank verification number.

Bamboo believe Africans who want to grow their personal wealth in the long-term and take part in the global markets should have an investment platform they can trust to do so.
