Lady Who Tested Positive To HIV On Her 8th Birthday & Was Told By Doctors That She Won’t See Her 12th Birthday, Celebrates Her 30th Birthday

A lady named Doreen Moraa has gone down memory lane, as she marks her 30 birthday.

Doreen tested positive to HIV 22 years ago on her 8th birthday, and the doctors told her parents that she won’t make it to her 12th birthday.

Doreen concluded that
HIV is no longer a death sentence as it used to be, hence she’s alive today.

Sharing her story on LinkedIn she wrote:

22 years ago on my 8th birthday, I was officially tested & diagnosed with HIV.

My parents were told to go home with me & LOVE me because my doctors were not sure i would see my 12th birthday.
Thing is there was no treatment that time,my mom gave birth to me without knowing her HIV status & my late brother & I got infected.

What am i trying to say?, nowdays ARVs are available for people living with HIV.
HIV is no longer a death sentence as it used to be.
Don’t be afraid to start treatment you deserve to live your life to it’s full potential REMEMBER THAT!

And the best part is with proper adherence, once you supress your viral load level, you cannot transmit HIV sexually 🎊🎉🍾
HIV has changed ,so change your mentality as well😊

PS:If you are HIV negative, stay negative!

Have a lovely Thursday y’all💖
