A lady named Jalonni W. who’s gradually healing after getting involved in an accident has shared her horrible experiences.

Jalonni was riding a
bicycle, when she suddenly got hit by car going on 40 miles. Jalonni who was wearing an helmet says it got cracked and that if she didn’t have one, she wouldn’t have made it alive.

Sharing her story on LinkedIn, she wrote:

She went further to narrate how the accident affected her hearing and the right part of her body became numb. Despite all, Jalonni still counts her blessings and everything she has been through.

In July of 2020, I got into a life changing bicycle accident. The car was going 40 miles per hour and hit me from behind. I was knocked unconscious and til this day I can’t remember anything. My helmet was cracked in half and if I didn’t have that on I probably wouldn’t be here today.

The bystander that saw everything happen used my phones facial recognition to call my mom and let her know what happen. She was a nurse and stayed with me the whole time until the cops came. I always say she was angel because I can’t get in contact with her whatsoever.

I didn’t break any bones, but when I got out the hospital I wasn’t able to walk or do anything on my own. I had burns all over my body from sliding on the concrete. I fell on the side of my face which has affected my hearing on my left side. I have 3 herniated disk in my spine which cause the right side of my body to go numb.

Despite everything that I’ve been through I’m here for a reason. I try to smile on my hardest days because I’ve had harder days and overcame them. I’m living a life that I never dreamed of, but I love it here and I wouldn’t change anything about it. My journey has been far from easy but I’m thankful for every part of it. ✨

I didn’t know if I would ever get on bike again and here I am back on it cycling 20-25 miles a week.
