Kenyan Lady Gets Admission To Oxford After Watching Videos Done By Nigerian Students On YouTube, Set To Launch Her YouTube Channel To Help Kenyans

A lady named Anita Makori has shared how she was looking for graduate schools opportunities during her search on YouTube and most of the videos were done by Nigerian Students, she also got advise from them and it kind of influenced her decisions.

She hopes to start up her own YouTube channel too, that will help Kenyans look for appropriate opportunities.

Sharing on LinkedIn, she wrote:

I got into the University of Oxford (Hogwarts!😁).
Anyway, for the last one year or so, I have been going through the process of looking for graduate school opportunities and applying for them. While at it, I sought advice (from different sources including YouTube) from people who had also been through that and most of the YouTube videos available were by Nigerian students.

While this proved helpful, it also posed a challenge because some of these application procedures differ between countries and I felt it would be more useful to have such content from a Kenyan. In this regard, I am excited to share that I am launching a YouTube channel (more details to follow) whose main content will be about how to look for appropriate opportunities, prepare and apply for them 😊, especially if you are from Kenya 🇰🇪.
