As we celebrate the birth of my amazing Mother today, it’s impossible to tell my life’s story without her indelible impact: a truth that is replicated in the lives of my siblings and so many the world over.
There isn’t time enough to enumerate her many roles, responsibilities, and stewardships or to commend her life’s example as a contemporary model of the virtuous woman.
She is the Godly wife and helpmeet to a great man, the loving matriarch to children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, the indefatigable champion of numerous women’s rights causes, and the consistent contributor to the health sector especially the nursing and midwifery professions in Africa and beyond.
I am specially thankful for the gift of her life because not only was she the matrix for my physical birth, she was instrumental in the birthing of my ministry through her earnest prayers, her unending encouragement, and the opening of her home to be the birthplace of the House On The Rock.
Thank you Mum for being quintessentially sterling in virtue and value. I couldn’t have asked for a better or a more loving Mother, and today and every day, I honour you for all you are and do.
May you continue to grow in grace as the Lord remains your strength and your portion all the days of your life. We bless God for the longevity of your life and its lasting legacy.
