Man Who Came Out Of A Bad Relationship Where He Was Constantly Told That He Was Useless, Finds Love Again, Celebrates Wife With Throwback Photo

A man named Don Marshall has shared an amazing love story about his present wife.

Don who came out of a very bad relationship where he was constantly told that he was ugly and useless almost gave up on love.

Today the story is different as he has been married to an amazing woman who values him for the past 5 years now.

Sharing the touching story on LinkedIn, he wrote;

We had our first date in Jan 2016 and I’d like to say it as love at first sight but I’d already fallen for her before we met in person.

I was not in the best of places confidence and self belief wise after coming out of a relationship where I was constantly told how I was useless, stupid, ugly and no one would ever want me.

And there I was on a date with a beautiful and younger woman who I was so happy and comfortable with.

I remember thinking “Wow – I’m on a date with this beautiful and amazing girl who likes me” which was something couldn’t conceive of just a few weeks before.

I was excited and nervous as we had connected so well I was afraid we wouldn’t connect physically on the same level but we did.

Despite my lack of confidence I was prepared to take a chance.

To step out of my comfort zone and give it a try.

I’m so glad that I didn’t give in to my fears nor believe what had been said about me.

Just because someone thinks something bad or negative about you doesn’t actually make it true.

Know who you are.

It’s now 6 years on and we have now been very happily married for over 5 years.

So the moral is – don’t let fear or put downs hold you back in life, in love, in work or anything else.

And remember I had to kiss a few frogs (actually one was Brazilian) on the way before I met my Princess 😉😍
