Man Who Missed An Opportunity To Play Football Professionally, Graduates With 1st Class

He shared the news on LinkedIn and captioned it;

CELEBRATING A WIN

A fortnight ago, I was
awarded the Best Graduating Student of the Faculty of Law, OAU.

Gaining admission into
OAU had a bittersweet taste to it, considering I had just missed an opportunity to play football professionally. Having represented my secondary school, King’s College, Lagos at various competitions locally and internationally, winning medals and tournaments, it was football or nothing, but here I am.

I’m happy and proud knowing I can be exceptional at both areas as well as my other engagements.

Still on the bittersweet taste. When the OAU admission list was released, there was an area tagged ‘ELDS’ – Educationally Less Developed States. One of the states on the list was Ebonyi state, which is my state. It wasn’t the best feeling, regardless of the fact that it was meant to bolster the chances of aspirants from my state. Gist is, in as much as we bear the ‘ELDS’ tag, it’s very much safe to say we’ve got great and exceptional minds from my state. I’m proud to have represented well.

Finally, this success will honestly not have seen the light of day without God, and for this reason, I remain eternally grateful.

To more wins!🥂
