Single Mum Graduates With First Class After Hawking “Bofrot” To Support Herself In School For 4 Years

A woman’s determination and hardwork has finally paid off. The single mum who hawked snacks on the streets recently graduated from university with a first-class.

She had to combine her motherly duties with hawking to finance her studies and then school work.

Adom Ara Kwa shared her graduation photos on Facebook, and wrote:

Today, we had the chance to put a smile on the face of a super woman who defied the odds to graduate with a first class honours from the University of Education.

With the help of my sisters Rita Effi Darko, Perpetual Lomokie Akwada and brother Suleman Manful Dadzie, we presented our small token of love to Priscilla Akwagu for striving to achieve such a feat despite all the obstacles that came her way.

Her story is what I would title “From bofrot seller to a 1st class graduate”. In fact, none of us knew Priscilla in person but when we heard the story of the determined single mother who hawked “bofrot” to see herself through school for 4 years, we were intrigued and decided to give her a little surprise on her graduation day.

We see your determined and persevering spirit as something that’s worthy of emulation and we once again say a very big congratulations to you, Priscilla. Keep soaring higher and we wish you well in all your future endeavours ❤️🎁😍🙏🏽🎉🥰🙌🏽💯🎈
