Man Who Applied For Scholarship 65 Times Celebrates His Mentor Who Encouraged Him To Apply 1 More Time After He Got Rejection Letters, He’s Presently On Commonwealth Scholarship

A Nigerian man named Chibuzo Nwokafor has decided to celebrate his mentor who encouraged him to apply for scholarship one more time.

He was previously rejected 65 times and was discouraged. Agreeing to apply that one more time won him the commonwealth scholarship.

Celebrating the mentor on International Men’s Day, he wrote via his LinkedIn platform.

“Doc I’m tired, I’m not doing again. They sent me rejection letter again😭😭😭” I told him on the chat.

I had just received a scholarship rejection letter from HDRUK Scholarship for MSc Precision Medicine and Genomics. That was my 65th Application!

“Let me call you” He said…

after 45 minutes of very serious futuristic discussions, I was motivated once more to make more applications. Like he said “Your one yes will come”

One week later, I received a congratulatory email for Common wealth scholarship.

Today is International Men’s Day. I cannot but celebrate my mentor Kelechukwu Onwukamike (Dr. rer. nat.) (Ph.D) who has put it upon himself to stay with all his mentees till they all win.
