t took a while to share this “major win” on LinkedIn. I wanted to thank everyone that contributed to this milestone.

The past four years have been extremely challenging. I thought of giving up so many times.

  • I lost my dad 9 months into my Ph.D. studies.
  • I completed another master’s degree while preparing for my qualifying examination.
  • My wife was diagnosed
with PTSD when I was preparing for my comprehensive examination.

Every major setback made me stronger. I was fortunate to work with amazing people.

I am grateful to God almighty for everything.

Brittney Okolie, thanks for your understanding, and for always standing by me.

To my supervisor, Professor Ajay Dalai, thank you for always believing in me.
Sonil Nanda, thank you for guiding me in the right direction.

My friends Hammed E. Stephen Owuamanam Peter Bankole Jude Dugbere Akinola Ogbeyemi Emmanuel I. Epelle
thanks for keeping me afloat during the most difficult period.

My advice to new graduate students is to be strong and persistent, do not be afraid to ask questions, teamwork and collaborative effort are very important. More importantly, make yourself valuable and helpful to others around you.

Congratulations to him.
