Women Are Not Robots – Mary Remmy Njoku Speaks Out Against Unrealistic Standards

Mary Njoku says people expect women to work like they don’t have kids and raise kids like they don’t work

  • Mary Njoku recently took to social media to complain about the standards women are held to
  • According to her, women are expecting to give 100% to both the home and the work front
  • The actress/filmmaker opened up about the issue while sharing her encounter with her friend’s husband

Talented Nollywood actress and the CEO of ROK Studios, Mary Njoku, has taken to social media to share her thoughts on how women in society are viewed.

According to her, women are not robots who are expected to work like they do not have children but also expected to raise their children like they do not have jobs.

The film star went on to talk about a friend’s husband who complained about his wife not helping him out but rather staying at home with their four kids doing nothing.

This angered Njoku and appears to have inspired her rant about the unrealistic standards women are held to.

Read her post below:

“Haba!! Body no be firewood . We have to either choose one or do a little of BOTH. And Oga has to do a little of BOTH too. To create a balance. Women are humans, not robots!! A friend’s husband just complained to me that his wife does nothing to support him. ‘She just sits at home with the boys and eats’Imagine . 4 sons under 10!!! Anyway, I don’t think her husband will ever speak to me again . Time for a workout!! “
