COVID-19: Corps members distributes free hand sanitisers to each household in his community

As coronavirus continues to give Nigeria a sleepless night, more nationals are doing what they can to ensure that this deadly disease is defeated.

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Akintunde Ahmed Babatunde, has joined in this noble cause. Akintunde Ahmed Babatunde distributing free hand sanitiser.

The corps member, who hails from Ake Titun CDA in Abeokua, Ogun state, visited households in the community and distributed free hand sanitisers to residents of the area. The corps member donated the hand sanitisers in Ake Titun CDA, Abeokua, Ogun state.

In recent times, corps members have been making the news for the kind gesture. Recall that a corps member serving in Ondo, Israel Arogbonlo, donated his March allowance to the state government to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The governor of the state, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), received the donation on Tuesday, April 7, at the government house in Alagbaka, Akure. The disclosure was made by the special assistant to the governor on new media, Olabode Richard Olatunde. While commending Arogbonlo’s gesture, Governor Akeredolu said the corps member’s donation could save a whole family from starvation. He said the corps member demonstrated an unusual spirit of giving, urging others to follow in his footsteps.
