Comedian AY Makun replies critic who said he tells dry jokes
- Nigerian comedian, AY Makun, seems to have gotten on the wrong side of Twitter users
-
A Twitter user had called out the funny man and accused him of kissing the feet of politicians and never speaking against them because they attend his shows and listen to his dry jokes
-
AY responded that most of the people who pay for his shows are not politicians and that people pay as much as N5 million to hear his so called dry jokes
It goes without saying that the streets of Twitter is a jungle out there. Time has shown that nobody is too important to be dragged and that Nigerians with bad mouths will humble anybody on the microblogging site.
The social application, just like most social media apps, has helped bridged the gap between people as they are free to share their candid opinion without meeting face to face.
Snitches on twitter will get you arrested and still want you to fight the government for them
- Just recently, Nigerian comedian, AY Makun, got on the wrong side of some people on Twitter and they continued to drag him. It started when AY commented on actress, Funke Akindele’s run in with the law.
A Twitter user identified as Sage then said the oppressors in the government are the ones who spend money at his shows and that he never calls them out. Sage continued by saying AY tells only dry jokes.
To that, the comedian replied that 95% of the people who buy his tables are not politicians and that as for his dry jokes, people pay as much as N5 million and that it is called grace.
He wrote: “I was humble enuf to see my mistake, courageous enuf to admit it, and wise enough to correct it. If u go beyond the insults and do ur research u will find out that 95% of d people buying my tables are not politicians. As for the dry jokes, they pay up to 5M too. It is called GRACE”.
