Nigerian lady who became US citizen narrates journey to dual citizenship

The lady identified as Crystal Evuleocha said she and 5,009 other applicants from 104 countries became citizen of the US by naturalisation on Tuesday, February 25.

Evuleocha graduated from the University of Houston after travelling to the North American country all by herself when she was 17.

The Nigerian and US national took to her LinkedIn page to make the disclosure, saying she is a proud Nigerian who will never forget her heritage.

Evuleocha travelled to the US all by herself when she was 17 to study at the University of Houston.

She said: “I am a proud Nigerian born immigrant to the US. Check the stats we are crushing every sector and I’m proud to be Nigerian First and I will never forget my heritage. “So many roads have led to this day and I’m so proud to as of today be a US Citizen.” Evuleocha pledged to continue to always do what is right, spread love and kindness and make a significant contribution to the United States. Speaking of her work, she said: “My goal is to create more jobs, advance women’s rights and make the world better for young girls and women like myself.”
