People’s movement has been restricted to one person per family for three to four hours due to the virus.
A Nigerian national living in Wuhan, China, has lamented the situation of things in the Asian country following the outbreak of coronavirus.
Ayodeji Idowu said coronavirus hit Wuhan a week before he and his wife and two kids were supposed to travel, Channels TV reports.
In a bid to control the deadly disease, the government put Wuhan on lockdown.
Due to the deadly virus, people’s movement was restricted to one person per family for three to four hours.
Idowu said: “So when you want to go out, they tick, like a register, to show that you are the only person who has gone out from your family in the last four days.”
He said they were not allowed to leave their residences, adding that whatever anyone wants to buy would be indicated on a group chat and would be delivered the following day. The Nigerian national said: “To receive your order, you come to the gate, stand about ten metres away, have your temperature checked, and then they hand over your items and you return to your apartment.”
Idowu said since the restriction, his kids have not been able to eat the kind of food they are used to. He added: “Now we are forced to take whatever is available in the group purchase, which is basically catering to Chinese tastes, not foreigners’.”
