Beroro Efekoro achieves 3 grand successes in US, celebrates them

Beroro Efekoro, a 28-year-old Nigerian-born US legislator, has achieved three great successes. The first was that his article was used by 10th-grade students for their classwork.

To that, the US lawmaker said that he is very glad and honoured “to be discussed alongside the legendary Chinua Achebe”.

The second one was that he completed his first legislative order as he joined other members of the House to vote Honourable Andrew Joyce as the chairman of the county legislature.

In 2019 also, Efekoro got a special invitation from ABC News to talk about his significant election and how it is a very important point of reference for the Millenials.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that he bagged 10 Under 10 award of the Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy of the State University of New York.

The college is composed of departments that ensure its mission on public policy. It should be noted that Rockefeller College of Public Affairs and Policy of the State University of New York also provides support in key areas to the governments of New York and to the United States.

On how he won his election, Legit.ng also gathered that the 28-year-old had previously run for a seat in the city’s Common Council in 2017 but lost but in 2019 before he decided to go for a higher elective post which he won.

With his election, Efekoro became the youngest member of the 39-member House of the Albany County Legislature.

Efekoro beats his opponent, Bullock, with a wide margin to get a landslide victory. While the Nigerian-American had 256 votes, his opponent had 99 votes only.
