Badmos revealed that someone was recently arrested after he unknowingly allowed his friend do a fraudulent transaction using his account.

The PPRO shared this via her official Twitter account In light of the prevalence of internet fraud, police PRO, Dolapo Badmos, has once again taken to social media to share some useful piece of advise to help innocent people from getting implicated in fraudulent activities.
Badmos via her Twitter account, warned people against letting others use their bank account for transactions. According to her post, someone was recently arrested after a fraudulent transaction was carried out using his account. In his defense, he stated that he only borrowed his friend the account to use and never knew the money being transferred to his account was obtained through false means.
Badmos ended the advice by saying ignorance is no excuse before the law.
She wrote: “Don’t ever “borrow” anyone your account number to receive money, your account should be for your own usage..someone is in custody for borrowing a “friend” his account, he never knew the money they are transferring through him is fraudulent.
Ignorance isn’t an excuse before the law.”
