Nigerian lady Wendy Okolo gets distinguished recent graduate award

Congratulations are in order for Wendy Okolo who was recently honoured as a distinguished recent graduate at her alma mater, University of Texas at Arlington.

Okolo who studied at the university between 2010 and 2015, was recognised for her great strides after graduating the school. Okolo is an aerospace research engineer in the Intelligent Systems Division at NASA Ames Research Center.

She is the first Black woman to obtain a Ph.D. degree in aerospace engineering from University of Texas at Arlington. She is also the Special Emphasis Programs Manager for Women at Ames. Interestingly, she began her path to greatness by attending the prestigious Queens College before she went on to study aerospace engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington. The brilliant young lady received her PhD at age 26 from the same university. It’s no wonder she was recognised and given the distinguished recent graduate award.

To celebrate her achievement, the brilliant shared the photo of her receiving the honour on social media.
