Another Nigerian has made the nation really proud. Tunji Adeniyi-Jones, a 27-year-old artist, made the Forbes list for 30 under 30. The inspiration behind his painting is drawn from West African history, and especially from his Yoruba root, Forbes reports.
Tunji was born to a Nigerian father in the UK. He got his MFA from Yale. One of his paintings is owned by the Dallas Museum of Art as he has also had shows in popular places like New York, London, and Los Angeles. Forbes 30 under 30 is a yearly set of lists released by Forbes magazine to recognise people in different sectors.
According to Forbes, this year’s list reflects the fact that the years ahead will be excitingly profound as developing technologies will have great effects on every area of life. It also said that in coming up with the list, they had to go through 15,000 nominees before it came down to 600 best from 20 industries.
Tunji made the 30 under 30 art and style section. Others honoured in the same class are Sarah Abbasi, Danny Casala, Yixi Chen, Marly Gallardo, Illana Harris-Babou, among several others.
